Cosequin is a patented, scientifically researched, nutritional supplement dispensed by thousands of veterinarians to help dogs maintain healthy joints. As dogs age, it is common for their joints to become less flexible which impacts their mobility and quality of life. Even at younger ages some dogs are subject to joint health concerns which affect flexibility and mobility.

Active Constituents: each capsule contains: 500mg Glucosamine HCI, 400mg Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate. Also contains Manganese Gluconate and Calcium Ascorbate

Administration as a supplement for dogs: The recommended initial administration period is four to six weeks. Your dog may respond in a shorter period of time. At this time you can decrease the number of Cosequin DS capsules to the maintenance level. The capsules can be pulled apart and the contents sprinkled on the pet's food. Wet or moist food is preferred to ensure that the pet gets the entire amount.

Initial 4 to 6 week administration period: 10 to 24 lbs - 1 capsule daily (1/2 in the morning & 1/2 in the evening) (under 10 lbs, 1/2 daily), 25 to 49 lbs - 2 capsules daily (1 in the morning & 1 in the evening), 50 to 100 lbs - 3 capsules daily (2 in the morning & 1 in the evening), over 100 lbs - 4 capsules daily (2 in the morning & 2 in the evening). The maintenance level can also be used long term on normal dogs to help keep their joints healthy.
